Adapt Jiu-Jitsu

Our mission is to create high-quality, stylish products that empower everyday people—not just fighters or elite athletes—to train, grow, and enjoy Jiu-Jitsu.

We design for men and women alike, with the aim of bringing Jiu Jitsu into the mainstream as the new way to train, stay active, and better yourself.

From Idea to Brand (Founded in 2018)

Adapt Jiu‑Jitsu was created in 2018 to deliver stylish, premium training apparel for anyone who loves Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu. It started with Grant—a longtime practitioner and designer who envisioned gear that not only performs at a high level for everyday practitioners but also feels and looks great. The brand grew out of his passion for clean design and his commitment to making Jiu‑Jitsu accessible to all, not just competitive fighters. Today, Adapt is owned and operated by three life long friends who are focused on its purpose: inspiring people to train, develop, and enjoy Jiu‑Jitsu while continually refining its products and expanding its community.

Meet the Team

Grant – Founder & Head of Product

Grant launched Adapt Jiu‑Jitsu to offer streamlined, minimalist designs catered for the hobbyists of the sport. The focus has always been on equipping the everyday practitioners who make up the heart of the sport — not just the elite competitors. He leads all product design, developing custom rashguards and gi artwork for our wholesale clients. Grant also handles product photography,  the overall visual direction of the brand and website development, ensuring every Adapt piece looks as good as it performs

Adam – Co‑Owner & CEO

Adam joined Adapt as a co‑owner and now serves as CEO. Over the past five years he has immersed himself in every aspect of the business, from supply‑chain management to back‑end website development. As the driving force and face of the company, Adam sets the overall strategy and ensures operations align with the brand’s vision. He develops and runs Klaviyo email marketing campaigns, manages customer service, and works directly with athletes and sponsorships to grow Adapt’s community. A black belt in Jiu‑Jitsu and a passionate teacher, Adam brings the discipline and dedication of the sport into his leadership. He is committed to seeing Jiu‑Jitsu become a mainstream way for people to stay active and empower themselves.

Brad – Co‑Owner & Head of Wholesale & Operations

Brad became part of Adapt in 2025 and has recently taken on the dual role of managing wholesale partnerships and looking after operations. Working alongside Grant, he ensures the wholesale division runs smoothly and that clients receive the same attention to quality and detail that defines Adapt’s retail products. By overseeing operations, Brad helps the company scale sustainably while maintaining the quality and customer care that Adapt is known for.
